The Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Environment Parastatal, Engr. Adebola Sabi, led a delegation of House of Assembly members on an oversight visit to the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) Headquarters in Ikeja today.
The team was warmly received by the General Manager of LASEPA, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, and other senior management staff of the agency.
The visit was part of the committee’s statutory oversight functions to assess the agency’s performance in enforcing environmental laws and regulations in the state.
During the visit, the committee members were briefed on LASEPA’s achievements and challenges in areas such as air and water pollution control, and environmental sustainability.
Engr Adebola commended LASEPA for its efforts in protecting the environment and pledged the committee’s support for the agency’s endeavors.
“We are impressed with LASEPA’s dedication to environmental protection and sustainability,” Engr. Adebola said. “We will continue to support the agency in any way possible to ensure that Lagos State remains a healthy and sustainable place for its citizens.”
Dr. Ajayi thanked the committee for their visit and support. “We appreciate the oversight visit by the House of Assembly Committee on Environment,” Dr. Ajayi said. “We look forward to continuing collaboration with the committee to ensure that Lagos State remains a leader in environmental sustainability.”
