The General Manager LASEPA,Dr Babatunde Ajayi, received a team from the University of Chicago led by Professor Sola Olopade, Professor of Medicine and Dean of Academic Affairs, in the Division of Biological Sciences.

The delegation, which included Professor Lolade Wright from the Lagos State College of Medicine (LASUCOM), visited LASEPA to strengthen ongoing collaborative research on the health impacts of indiscriminate electronic waste disposal in Lagos State.

The team from the University of Chicago engaged in discussions with LASEPA to explore potential collaboration on correlating air quality, water and soil pollution in areas with minimally regulated electronic waste Disposal and processing in Lagos State.

Dr Ajayi took the team on a comprehensive tour of LASEPA’s Laboratory Facilities, Air Quality Sensors and the Effluent Treatment Plant. He also expressed appreciation for their interest in collaborating with LASEPA.
