The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), under the leadership of Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, actively participated in a Chemical Handlers and Users’ Workshop organized by the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) through Ogun State Ministry of Environment.
The one-day event, held at the Providence Centre in Abeokuta, focused on “Chemical and Waste Management: Circular Solutions for a Sustainable Economy.”
Dr. Ajayi, as a panelist, contributed expertise and highlighted measures to achieve success in chemical waste management.
He also reaffirms LASEPA’s commitment to partnership between inter-state agencies and stakeholders, adoption of existing protocols, and addressing overlapping functions between State and Federal agencies.
The workshop facilitated knowledge exchange, discussed best practices, and featured dignitaries such as Minister of State for the Environment, Dr. Iziq Kunle Salako; Ogun State Deputy Governor,Mrs. Noimot Salako Oyedele,Ogun State Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya; his counterpart in Agriculture, Hon.
