Lagos Government Takes Action: Seals Mosque and Church for Noise Pollution and Environmental Violations

The Lagos State government has sealed Ansar-Ud-deen Mosque and Restoration Centre Global Church in Gbagada over noise pollution and environmental infractions.

 

This development was disclosed by the Commissioner for Environment in the state, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, via his official X account on Saturday.

 

The sealing of the religious centers was carried out by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).

  1. The mosque in front of my house has been a making a hell of noise for more than 30 years, when the people of the community complain, they’re always ready to fight or insult anyone, and this nonchalant behavior has continue unabated.

    They would even go inside the mosque and increase the microphone to further disturb the entire community. The CDA, which is Market Odunade, has called the attention of those concerned but they still refused to listen.

    We don’t want to seek self help, that’s we’re reporting this matter to the appropriate authority for action. Save Our Soul.
