Mrs Monsurat Modupe joined LASEPA in 2006 and was deployed to the Research and Development Department from where she moved to the Laboratory Services Department and has now risen to the post of an Assistant Director and heads the Data Management Unit of the Agency.


Career

Monsurat Modupe Abdulwarees-Solanke holds a B.Sc and M.Sc (Biology) from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka and had all her education in Lagos, the centre of excellence. Until joining the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) in 2006 as an Assistant Chief Laboratory Scientist, she had worked in various capacities with the then Lagos State Hospitals Management Board (now Lagos State Health Service Commission).

She joined the Hospital Management Board in 1992 as a Laboratory Scientist II and worked in several health institutions across the State including pathology, Lagos General Hospital, Massey Street Children Hospital, Ayinke House Ikeja, General Hospital Orile Agege, Mainland Hospital Yaba and General Hospital Isolo from where she was deployed to the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).

She underwent various specialists training in the Laboratory Sciences including FHI/GHAIN and USAID organized courses in HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis related intervention programmes.

In 2006 when she joined LASEPA, she was deployed to the Research and Development Department from where she moved to the Laboratory Services Department and has now risen to the post of an Assistant Director and heads the Data Management Unit of the Agency.

She is happily married with children and loves reading.
