Adedayo Babtunnde Adreti was born on 24th January, 1972 to Lt.Col. Zaccheaus Olumayowa Adereti (rtd) a great grandson of Ooni Ojaja of Ile Ife and Mrs.Victoria Omoyemi Adereti (a retired civil servant of Lagos state).Adedayo Hailed From Okeigbo in Ondo State and is the first son amongst five children.
He started his primary education with Grace Children’s School previously located at Onipanu in September 1975 till June 1980 after the same school was located to Gbagada Lagos. Afterwards, he enrolled with his siblings in Command Children‘S School Ikeja where he completed his primary education in class five in June 1982 Adedayo was admitted into Command Secondary School Kaduna in September 1982 having passed the School’s Common Entrance Examinations. Thereafter, in his final year he took the West African School Certificate in June 1987 and also sat for General Certificate Examination in November 1987 with sciences as his core subjects.
In October 1988, he gained admission into Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife to study Chemical Engineering and graduate with a Second Class (lower division) honours degree in December 1993. Later on, from June 1994 to May 1995, Adedayo observed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps Scheme with the Harp Brewery of Guinness Nigeria Plc situated at Ogba industrial Estate in Ikeja.
He worked briefly for a private firm, Tubara & Sons International Limited which was into mining of Baryte ore. He served as a project supervisor for her mining operation in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba state from September 1997 to June 1999. A few months after Adedayo gained employment into the Lagos State Civil Service in various departments of the Lagos state Environmental Protection Agency such as Research & Development, Data Management and Engineering services for nineteen years and has attended several courses on behalf of the state amongst which is the Disaster management course at the Command and Staff College in Jaji organized for senior officers of the Armed forces, Nigeria Police and Emergency Agencies in the country. Adedayo enrolled for the postgraduate programme in the University of Lagos and obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering Services Department from November 11, 2013.
Adedayo adereti is a member of both Nigerian society of engineers and Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers. He is also a registered engineer with the Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) with number R.11.941. Adedayo possesses an international General Certificate In Occupational Health and Safety which he obtained with distinction in the National Examination Board on Occupational Safety And Health (NEBOSH). He is also a registered lead auditor in Quality Management System (QMS); ISO 9001:2008 with the International Register of Certificate Auditors (IRCA). He is happily married with children.
